frustrated.

Gosh, I find myself getting more & more frustrated with this whole designing thing. One minute I'm super stoked & the next I'm having second thought's. I cannot tell you enough how frustrating it is! I want this so bad, I've said it a million times & I'll keep saying it!
I'm so intrigued by other designer's, I find myself repeatedly just looking @ their designs, wondering if I'll find something that will help me out! As if it's waiting there for me to find it, right?! LOL! I don't know if I am simply not giving it enough time or if I'm being lazy or something else, but I hope I figure it out soon! I am just going to keep looking for tutorials and practice, practice, practice!
On a lighter side, I think I have my name and a catchy saying to go along with it! I really need to focus on my logo @ least! & I really need to get a copyright so I can at least start out by giving out some freebies! Next year, I plan on really figuring this whole thing out & coming up with a decision on whether or not I will be going back to school. Most of the designers I have talk to, are self taught, only one did go to school for digital design, but even then she made it seem like it wasn't a big deal.

What's new....

Hey bloggers,
So I thought I'd stop by & just talk about what's new & exciting.....which is nothing really......hmmmm.
LOL, that's not entirely true, there are some exciting things to mention, such as Nick getting an interview with this company he's been trying to work for for a couple years now, what does that mean for us? ALOT! It's more money, which would be nice, it's so what he wants to do as far as a career, and I think it would be a good change! So cross your fingers, we really need this one!
Thanksgiving was nice, we spent it with my family and I had alot of fun seeing my niece & nephew along with the rest of the gang! I especially was happy when my grandma, a.k.a Nana, called & asked to talk to me! She only knows Spanish & let's just say I could use some help with that, so it was interesting, but I'm so happy I got to talk to her<3
Yesterday we put up our Christmas tree and put some decorations up that we got the day before & I'm happy to say "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!" We are going to go get a few more things for the place tonight as well!
With so much going on last week I wasn't able to take the time out to say how incredibly blessed, grateful & Thankful, me & my family are this holiday season for having a HOME. For the last two years we didn't have our own place to enjoy the holidays as much! So I am so HAPPY this year that we are able to really enjoy being together in our own home<3 We can continue in traditions we made that first year Alex was born & just do things differently than the last couple of years! I'm really looking forward to it! I hope this month just lingers on by!

I WON!!!!

Good Morning, that it is! I woke this morning to the best surprise! I did my usual routine of checking the email & I had 6 emails on my aol account, which is unheard of. (My usual account is yahoo.) So I opened each one and the very last one was from Shaui from Fei-Fei's Stuff @ Oscraps, seems I have WON her challenge!!! WOO HOO, I couldn't believe it! & I'm on cloud nine! It's On!

I had a tough day yesterday. I have been working on a digital scrapbooking kit & I thought it was going well. It's been a work in progress for awhile now. It includes 10 papers, 2 elements, & a frame. So I thought to myself, "I think I have enough to make a layout, just to see what it looks like together." so I gave it a try......well, let's just say it didn't work out to well. I had a major melt down. It didn't look good, at all. I was so disappointed. I started crying & I was thinking "Gosh I have been working on this for over a year & I can't even make paper look right." I thought maybe I should just give up. Maybe this is a lot harder than I thought & it's just not for me. I was so so heart broken. My dream may never come true. From that point I went to a few of my favorite designers websites and looked in awe of their work, even now more bummed out than I was before. By then I had a huge headache too.
"How do they make this stuff?"
"It looks so good."
"Why can't I do that?"
I started just looking around the web & I ran into a video of Ellen & Oprah of all things! If your familiar with that whole situation, Ellen had a goal to be on the cover of O magazine. So Oprah contacted Ellen live on Ellen's show and this is what she told her:

I started balling. Tears rolling down my face, I thought "I have a dream!!!! A goal, it's a big goal & I WANT IT" & THAT'S WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!!! Love it, such inspiration! So, yeah I know it's not going to be easy, but I'm more pumped than ever! Financially, it's going to be hard because I need so much, but that's life & I'm in no hurry. I want to do this right this time! So wish me luck, throw in a prayer or two if you want!<3 & Please come back or follow me to keep me going, everyone needs support! I'm ready............ok, not really.

I am so anxious to start my own digital scrapbooking line. It is taking forever. I never thought that it would take this long, then again I am such a perfectionist, nothing is good enough. At this rate, the only thing I'll be coming out with is papers! Which is fine, lots of designers give/sell paper packs! My big hold up right now is probably elements. I find inspiration everywhere, but how do you recreate it on photoshop? There are tutorials everywhere, but not really for the type of design I need. Many are for photography & website design. I don't know, I play around, which I think is helpful! I think I would like to take some online classes for digital scrapbooking, we'll see!
I have been working on my name & logo, which is fun! My heart wants this so bad! Like my title, I'm so ready, but I totally am not! The idea is there, but that's all it is! [Sad face]. It's ok, my hard work will pay off, I just know it! I have another goal, which is to get on a CT. I don't know if it would help, but it sure looks fun! Well, that's that, for now!
