I'm in love........with my Nikon D3000!!!

Hey, just wanted to stop by & share a few things here on my good ol blog! First, I got my camera on Monday, woo hoo! I am very pleased with it so far! Like I said before I really wanted the D90, but I just couldn't see me paying that much for a camera. From there I went down to the D5000, after hours & hours of Nick & I arguing because to me it was still a bit much for the package, we finally agreed to the Nikon D3000 package!! I was very pleased with the price! So yes, I am a HAPPY owner of a Nikon camera...FINALLY!!!! Here's a couple pictures I've taken:



Lastly, I cannot believe how extremely busy I have been with family. I hardly feel like I've been home. Driving all over the place & visiting our loved ones, just craziness!! Along with some more private matters, I just have not been able to find the time to get my Copyright. This is so frustrating. But I told Nick that when Alexandra goes to bed tonight, we are getting this done!!! [crossing my fingers]

Crazy Busy....

I can't tell you what a crazy couple of weeks it's been in my house! I guess it all started when I got word that my Nana(my Grandma)was not doing to well. My brother immediately rushed down from Arizona & I feared the worst. We all got together @ my mom's. Thankfully by the Grace of God, she now is doing much better.
Then shortly after that, Nick had the most amazing thing happen to him! He was doing the routine Facebook check, when he received a message that was not so ordinary! A message from a girl asking very unusual questions.....after a few messages back & forth, they realized they were brother & sister!!!! Wow, right?! It is true, Nick has a sister he never knew about & they have been chatting away<3 We recently got to meet more of his family, which was nothing short of AMAZING! They are so welcoming & sweet people & I'm so extremely happy for him! I know he has been searching for them for quite sometime! Here's a picture,

It was so exciting to meet them & I am looking forward to spending more time with them!
So, about my copyright, I did not go Monday like I had planned. There are a few more bigger issues going on here @ my house that got in the way, but I hope sometime this week I can make it down to see what's up with that!
I am totally going through withdrawals, I haven't scrapped or designed anything in what feels like weeks!! I am totally slacking on my Project 365 as well, I need to get on the boat soon!!! I'm awaiting my camera, I should receive it within the next 3 days.......I'm Dying!
Sorry I don't have any exciting news or new project's about digital scrapbooking, but hopefully I'll be back with something soon! Thanks for reading & God Bless Always.

Looking forward to the near future

Wow, so a lot has been going on lately & I'm here to share what is new! First off I'm super excited about a purchase recently made my my WONDERFUL boyfriend to me....I have wanted a Nikon camera FOREVER!!!! I always talk about the Nikon D90 & anybody who knows me personally, knows this! Well, after years & years of dreaming & praying for one, Nick ordered a Nikon camera for me yesterday!!!! YAY!!!
I didn't get the Nikon D90, but I am getting the Nikon D3000. Here's a picture:

The great thing about the deal we got was that it isn't just the body. I also will get a 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR Nikor zoom lens

& a 55-200mm DX zoom lens.


It also comes with the Nikon carrying case!

He also purchased a 57" Tripod! I'm so excited & will receive them next week!!

Nick is such a wonderful supporter of my dreams & I'm so thankful for that! He is so giving & I'm glad he's in my life. We have our up's & down's like many do, but he is truly a blessing in my life<3

Monday we are going down to get my copyright(WOO HOO!) I hope everything is as easy as I think! Wish me luck. I really want to start giving some freebies, like the Valentines Mini Kit I made weeks ago!!!! Considering the big day is approaching fast! I'm still really excited about this all & hope that you are too! I appreciate all of you who have shared that feeling with me! I hope I don't disappoint<3

How are you???

What is up my fellow Blogger's? I'm just stopping by to tell you what is new! I have 5 kits in progress(YAY!) & I'm super stoked! I have been working so hard & probably have learned more recently than ever before! Trying new tools & making lots of mistakes! Re-doing LOTS of things & trying to make everything as perfect as possible! I think when I start getting some fans, I would like to be known as a designer who hand-draw's most of my work. I would love that!
I'm more proud now than ever of my work & am greatly awaiting my reveal! Since I haven't been putting enough time into checking out the whole "Copyrights" thing, if anybody knows any info,Please share! Just leave me a comment!

Progress.

I have been working like crazy! Playing around & creating as much as I can. I have been trying to learn how to make my own fonts, brushes, patterns, you name it! I am having a lot of fun & I feel like I am making some progress, YAY! I think my only problem is getting bored with a kit after the first few days, then I don't want to work on it anymore, [uh oh!] but hopefully my new strategy will help.
I think I am going to permanently carry a note pad around with me so when I have an idea I can jot it down right away! All in all, I am finally enjoying myself & taking it a step @ a time....I take that back, there is a little pressure to make complete kits....I wish I could learn to chill out a bit, maybe master a certain thing before moving on to the next, maybe starting out with the basic's, like paper!!! We'll see I guess. I love what I got so far & I'm happy with most of it! Hopefully things we'll get better financially & I can get my Copyright soon! Thanks for stopping by or checking out my blog! The First week of 2010!

Hello fellow Bloggers!
Well, it is the 7th day of the new year & for me it has been pretty good! I have been working on a couple mini kits & I'm excited! There not quite done yet, but I'm working hard to get them done! I just may pull another "all nighter!" I was very inspired by Kandee Johnson's new video (posted below in the previous post) & I wrote my favorite designer! It didn't go as well as I hoped, (Ha, she didn't say come be my partner!)but she did say she would take a look @ my gallery when she may be looking to expand her team. You can't be bummed @ that, right!<3 She also was totally sweet & mention that she wishes me the best of luck in my creative endeavors this year & that it is going to be a GOOD year for me, she could feel it! YIKES! Let's hope she is right! Getting closer to actually showing people my designs, is freaking me out. I am trying not to doubt myself, but I can't help it. I have put so much time & effort into this & it's going to be hard if it doesn't work out. I was hoping it would be a lot easier than it actually is, when I decided to go through with this a couple of years ago. It took a year just looking @ tutorials & another year just practicing! I guess we'll see soon!

I [heart] Kandee Johnson.

For those of you who don't know this amazing person, let me introduce you!!!! This is Kandee Johnson. She is a professional makeup artist! She also makes tons of great makeup/hair/fashion tutorials on her You Tube channel! She is the most positive person I have ever met! (Well, I don't know her personally, but I feel like I do!!!) I can't tell you how many times she has put a smile on my face, when I'm having a bad day! She has been through quite a few things that have pushed her down & she managed to get back on her feet & keep going! She is such a Happy & fun person! A real person, who is not afraid to be who she is & a great role model. In just the few months that I have known of her, my life has changed. I am more positive & I want to make my dreams a reality even more now! Not only that, but I have a new obsession......MAKEUP!!! All around, she is a wonderful person to invite into your life, I guarantee, you will not be disappointed! A little note & a layout

It is 1:25am & still awake.....wide awake! I was so tried about 7, that I totally took a nap & woke up @ 10, yikes!! Well, I figured that I'd do a little scraping. There was a layout I really wanted to scraplift, so what better time then now, right?!

Welcome 2010!

Woo Hoo, it is officially the first day of the year & I'm super stoked!!! I hope you all had a good night & were safe. We were invited to a friends house for dinner & good conversation. It was so fun & I really was in good company! It was just perfect & a really wonderful way to ring in the new year<3
I feel like this year is so different right off the get go, I know it's only the first day, but I just have a good feeling about 2010! I have been working on a new kit & I think it's going well, better than the first one, for sure!! Nick & I are trying to figure out what I need to start selling kit's & giving away some FREEBIES, so hopefully I'll have that taking are of that soon! Nick has the next 3 days off, I love having him home & so does Alex! I'm looking forward to time spent together! Today I am starting my project 365, Yay! I'm looking forward to fun pictures!
